Ferndale Elopement

The rain threatened as we drove up the coast. It was the furtherest north in California I'd ever been. The mountains were so green, and there were trees as far as I could see. It felt like the start of movie as we winded in and out of the mountains. Eventually the road dropped us off into a flat valley with thick trees all around, a long stretch of open plain lay to our left. We crossed a narrow bridge over a wide river, the bridge was built back in the 1800's just like the tiny town of Ferndale we were headed to.

The rain stayed at bay much to our surprise. A sunny Northern Carolinian with the sweetest smile bursted into the room, hugs and cookies for all. A man with blonde hair and a girl with eyes as bright blue as the sea wondered in after her. I didn't know Brittany & Jared's story before that day. A love story for the history books, Nicholas Sparks worthy. They left their home and all they knew in Virginia for a cross country adventure. With no more than $2,000 in their pockets the set for the West Coast and made their love eternal in the memories they made.

We had the pleasure to putting together a special day for these two, since they said their "I Do's" in a courthouse in Arizona with some random person videoing on Jared's phone...

Brittany was all dolled up by the lovely Nikol Elaine in a Sarah Seven gown. Their day was styled and planned by the brilliant Rebekah from A & B Creative. Their words of love for each forever in ink by Jenna Rainy. Last but not least the sweetest moments captured by Perry Vaile. It would be an understatement to say we simply "enjoyed" being apart of this day. These are the love stories that capture our hearts, that remind us why we do what we do. As Jay-Z says, "Love, I can't get enough of it."
